Thousands Of Professors Deprived Of Increased Wages

Pune: The state government increased the honorarium of professors working on a regular basis in senior colleges. However, they are facing the dreaded nature of not being given increased honors. It is becoming clear that thousands of professors are deprived of the honors due to the stipends paid by the institute to such professors in colleges. Thousands of vacant posts of professors from colleges affiliated to the Agricultural University of the State are vacant. In this too 40 percent of the approved posts have been allowed to fill the posts of professors. But this process became so slow.

Thousands Of Professors Deprived Of Increased Wages

In such cases, professors are appointed on a regular basis from the colleges. There is a significant difference between the salary paid to a full time appointed professor and the salary paid to a professor on a regular basis. It was against this background that the demands of the hourly faculty were increased in the honors. The University Grants Commission has also directed the honorarium of professors on the Tasika principle. Against the backdrop, the state government decided to increase the honors of professors on hourly basis. Accordingly, the professor is required to pay 500 rupees. However, many colleges are still paying 250 to 300 rupees for one hour on hourly basis.

The recruitment of professors Hang up

Elections in the state failed to recruit the professor during the conduct of elections. In the meantime, there is a political intrigue about the formation of the government. In many places in the state, there is a need to declare drought. As a result, it is doubtful whether the Government will approve the appointment of a professor in the future.

“According to the decision taken by the state government, the college professors are obliged to pay extra honors. If it is not implemented, it will be reviewed by the Higher Education Department”
