MAHARASHTRA Government has approved 105 faculty posts and one equivalent teachingpost for newly-established Laxminarayan Innovation Technological University (LITU). This will help LIT university to go in for additional intake and have a better student:teacher ratio.
An allocation of Rs 8 crore per year has also been approved for the university’s administrative and daily operations, at par with other universities. All the seven statutory posts including Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Director of Board of Examinations and Evaluation, Finance and Accounts Officer, Director of Knowledge Resource Centre, Director of Board of Innovation, Incubation and Collaboration, Director of Students Development.
Approval for new courses in science,engineering will be received soon. Proposal for establishing a state of the art man-agement school with tie-ups with elite and acclaimed international educational institutions is on cards by LITU in the campus. Rs 5 crore for setting up a labora-tory and infra for graduate course in Robotics and Al is expected soon.
